I love coming to these kinds of charities with a great cause, the Salvation Army.”

Most of the shoes donated and tossed at the Rancho Park Golf Course driving range were brand new Shoes. In fact there were nearly three dozen upscale tennis shoes donated by Ed Hardy, who also threw shoes in the men’s competition (January 10, 2009.)

Dubai.TV Celebrity Talk Show Host Janeen Mansour was MC, and threw the first pair of shoes, which turned out to be red and white, heavy duty, barely worn, Miami Heat’s SHAG tennis shoes. “No other non-profit organization has the range of social services to help the needy like the Salvation Army,” explained Mansour. “This was a fun event, and everyone had a great time for a good cause. We should do this more often.”
